Experience the newly redesigned Talfer promenade Gries, a beautiful enhancement made possible through the support of Loacker in celebration of their 100th anniversary in 2025. This urban renewal project has transformed one of Bolzano's most cherished locations into an even more inviting space for everyone to enjoy.
The walkway now boasts 100 newly planted trees, creating refreshing shade and enhancing the natural beauty of the area. Approximately 1,200 square meters of paving have been removed, allowing for more green space and a softer, more natural environment. You can now unwind in a dedicated relaxation area, complete with inviting hammocks nestled amongst the trees.
Along the promenade, you'll find convenient rest areas with comfortable benches and practical bicycle stands. A refreshing drinking water fountain is available, and a charming fruit meadow has been established near the sports fields.
Why this area? A place of Significance for us all. The Gries Talfer Promenade is a central hub for many Bolzano residents and visitors alike. It connects residential areas with sports facilities and serves as an important leisure and recreation area right by the water. This area is used daily by numerous pedestrians and cyclists who appreciate the proximity to nature and the relaxed environment. The enhancement of this specific zone directly benefits your daily well-being and the attractiveness of your immediate surroundings. For Alfons Loacker, our founder, contributing to the community was always deeply important. Back in his time, he played a significant role in helping to establish the public open-air swimming pool, the so called "Lido" of Bolzano.
