Over the past few years, Loacker's growth has led to an increased intake of employees in all areas. Thanks to further expansion in international markets and additionally required production capacities associated with this, there is also a future requirement for qualified employees. That is why it is particularly important to us to continue our employees' training and to create development opportunities in the departments. In addition, we proactively seek to accept new junior employees.
Integration of new employees
In order to make new employees' joining as smooth as possible, their initial time at the company is purposefully accompanied with an induction plan and programme. We organise induction events so they can get to know the company and its core areas in more detail. During these events, members of the entrepreneurial family, senior management and executives familiarise the new employees with company principles and values as well as products and markets. In order to guarantee quick orientation in the new work environment, there is also an induction brochure with all important information about the company history and its locations, about current company figures as well as notes about behaviour in a food production company.
Our holiday jobs and internships in all areas of the company provide young people with the opportunity to gather valuable work experience. Every year during the summer months, more than 70 students work as interns and undergraduates at our Unterinn and Heinfels locations. In this way, they get to know every day business and, most importantly, Loacker as a potential employer.
Additionally, every year, numerous school classes and students from various universities visit Loacker's production sites in Unterinn and Heinfels to get a direct impression of the company. Furthermore, there are initiatives from schools and universities which we support with practical presentations in their institutions or on-site at Loacker.
Because graduates usually attach great importance to a varied, flexibly designed career start and they do not want to be tied down to a clear-cut work place at the beginning, we have established a comprehensive trainee programme. Within the frame of this programme, young professionals get good insight into the company and its procedures, structures and processes. During this time, a personal supervisor assists them as their own personal contact. At the beginning of the development programme, this contact partner co-ordinates the personal schedule together with the graduate, which is aimed at personal experiences and skills, and is adjusted accordingly. Junior employees are integrated into daily business and project work right from the beginning. Their independence is encouraged and continuously extended through increased decision-making authority and responsibility.
Trainee programme schedule
By being employed in different areas of the company, junior employees can initially discover their interests, skills, strengths and development potentials and get to know opportunities for evolving in the company. The systematic introduction over several weeks also helps support cross-departmental co-operation. Then there is a longer assignment in the department which is connected to their future position and internal customer or supplier relations.
This will prepare junior employees specifically for the operational area in which they wish to specialise.
Diverse operational areas
The international direction of the company allows employees to take on interesting tasks. Whether as an expert in Research and Development or Production, Supply Chain Management or Controlling, in Marketing or Sales as a head of interesting projects: Loacker offers diverse opportunities.
